Zoe-L

Special Machines

Designed to push manual precision beyond traditional limits, the Zoe-L is an ultra-compact benchtop unit specifically engineered for the **medical **(final finishing of prosthetic implants) and **aerospace **(re-profiling of micro-turbine blades and complex blade roots) sectors. The machine is built to work within the most inaccessible areas of the workpiece geometry, combining the ergonomics and control of a fixed benchtop system with the geometric agility typical of handheld belt grinders. The Zoe-L is equipped with a **miniaturized belt tracking unit** designed to accommodate abrasive belts with a length of just 620 mm and a maximum width of 15 mm. The machine supports interchangeable terminal arms suitable for very small contact rollers (from 10 to 15 mm in diameter). This configuration allows the operator to reach deep into narrow channels, grooves, and extremely tight internal radiuses, with the option to integrate a small rigid platen for localized flattening. Thanks to its drive and control system, the Zoe-L consistently delivers a **cutting speed of 30 m/s**. This linear parameter is strictly required to properly activate the chemical-physical properties of next-generation structured abrasive belts with micro-replicated technology, ensuring uniform cutting performance, high-gloss finishes, and zero overheating on the workpiece. The core of the machine features a **0.55 kW motor** paired with a belt transmission. This mechanical layout absorbs micro-vibrations, isolates the motor bearings, and optimizes the torque delivered to the micro-belt, ensuring fluid operation and millimeter precision during manual component handling. The monobloc structure is designed to take up **minimal space** on the workbench.
