Developed to meet the most demanding requirements of large-scale industry and heavy fabrication, this belt grinding head represents the top of the range for power and stock removal capacity. It is designed exclusively as an independent module to be integrated into robotic cells, special machinery, semi-automatic systems, or directly onto the carriage of large engine lathes. The design of the guideways and final motion systems remains the responsibility of the customer or system integrator; the machine is not suitable for manual use. The system is equipped with a powerful 9.2 kW fixed-speed industrial motor (3000 rpm) that delivers torque to the contact wheel via a robust belt transmission. This mechanical solution isolates the motor from direct operational stresses and optimizes power transfer, providing extraordinary and constant torque. This power reserve prevents any drop in wheel speed even under extreme operating pressure loads, making the head ideal for deep roughing, removal of surface cracks, structural welds, and heavily oxidized layers. The unit features a generously sized contact wheel measuring ø300x150 mm, ideal for supporting massive material removal and ensuring an excellent working footprint. The 150 mm belt width allows covering very large surfaces in reduced times, maximizing hourly productivity. The longitudinal development extended to 2500 mm offers an exceptional radiating surface that dissipates heat optimally; this preserves the thermal integrity of the processed workpiece (avoiding burns or deformations) and significantly extends the abrasive belt's lifespan. The head architecture is engineered on a rigid two-roller configuration (contact wheel and tensioner/drive roller). This monoblock configuration eliminates structural deflection and micro-vibrations under load, ensuring rigorous geometric precision and perfect tolerance control during cylindrical or flat grinding. The system features a proven mechanical rack-and-pinion tensioning system as standard, designed to ensure a solid and secure locking of the belt entirely manually, without the use of pneumatic components.
