Combined machines for polishing and belt grinding

Designed to offer maximum operational flexibility in machine shops, fabrication plants, and finishing departments, this high-performance combined machine is engineered with a dual independent motor configuration. This structural solution allows two operators to work simultaneously on the same station without any interference, or a single operator to perform the entire finishing cycle while optimizing time: it is possible to switch instantly from heavy grinding or satin finishing on the belt side to buffing, brushing, or polishing on the spindle side, managing the two modules in a completely autonomous manner. The machine is built around a robust, high-rigidity weighted monoblock base—a fundamental structural solution to absorb resonances, eliminate vibrations, and guarantee exceptional geometric stability even under heavy thrust pressures or the simultaneous use of both workstations. The polishing station is driven by its own dedicated motor and is equipped with a **ø25x110 mm spindle**. It is suitable for housing cotton, sisal, steel wire, or flap brushes up to a maximum **diameter of ø400 mm**. Operator safety is ensured by two types of guards: a flexible floor-standing protective hood resting directly on the ground or a compact protective enclosure anchored directly to the machine body. The grinding station is driven by the second independent motor and features a belt-tensioner assembly designed for abrasive belts with a standard length of **3000 mm** and a **width up to 100 mm**. This length is ideal for maximizing the natural cooling of the abrasive during continuous operations on demanding surfaces. The module supports contact wheels up to ø300 mm and is fully enclosed by a structural protective guard for dust containment and safety in the event of belt breakage. The heart of the machine consists of two non-ventilated motors with cast iron housings, each with a configurable power rating **up to 4.4 kW**. The independence and high torque reserve of the two motors allow each side to be configured with three different speed management options: -Fixed speed: **3000 rpm**, equipped with an electronic brake for rapid stopping. -Dual speed:** 1500 / 3000 rpm**, also assisted by an electronic braking system. -Variable speed (**600 - 3000 rpm**): managed via dedicated inverters, to finely and independently adjust the cutting speed of the belt or brush based on the processed material (stainless steel, carbon steel, light alloys) and tool diameter. The belt side features a standard mechanical rack-and-pinion tensioning system arranged horizontally, with the option to install a pneumatic cylinder for constant and automatic recovery of belt stretch under load. Operational safety is completed by an emergency stop foot pedal located at the base of the machine, enabling the instantaneous interruption of each module's movement while keeping hands free on the workpiece being processed.
