Belt Grinding Machines
Machine designed for the most demanding finishing and super-finishing operations on complex geometries. Thanks to its exclusive 4-roller system with an extended belt length of 4200 mm, this machine allows two contact wheels to be accommodated simultaneously on the same belt. This architecture is the benchmark for the **medical/orthopedic** sector (finishing of implants), as it drastically optimizes workflows by reducing cycle times. The presence of two separate contact wheels allows them to be configured with different materials and hardnesses (for example, a hard rubber wheel for roughing/stock removal and a soft foam or neoprene wheel for finishing/blending). The operator can thus perform different stages of the process on the same workpiece without having to replace the tool or change the machine. Equipped with a powerful **3 kW variable speed motor** (from 600 to 3000 rpm) via inverter, it allows perfect calibration of the cutting speed according to the treated material, preventing surface overheating and ensuring the metallurgical integrity of the workpiece. The 4-roller architecture with a **4200 mm belt** length drastically reduces flexural stress on the abrasive belt, increases thermal dissipation, extends its service life, and ensures absolute tracking linearity. The integrated **pneumatic tensioning system** automatically compensates for minor belt elongation during the work cycle, maintaining constant pressure and alignment without manual intervention. The belt tensioner assembly rotates on its central axis. This allows the operator to adjust the height and tilt of the contact wheels, configuring the workstation ergononically and optimally relative to the geometry of the workpiece. The configuration requires the use of **wheels with a 250 mm diameter**. To adapt to the specific geometries of the components, the wheels can be chosen with widths varying from 10 to 50 mm, ranging across a wide array of materials (grooved or smooth rubber, polyurethane, foam, neoprene) and different hardnesses. For processing critical materials such as **titanium**, the machine can be equipped with a special aluminum protective guard. This solution prevents the risk of frictional spark generation in the event of sudden abrasive belt breakage, ensuring compliance with the highest industrial safety standards.
